Quackenbush was selected to perform a challenging absorption chiller change out at the Bird Island Treatment Plant, Mega-Structure Building.

This required an extremely intricate vertical and horizontal rigging plan - moving the old chiller out and the new one set in place through a small opening in the second floor. We worked in conjunction with the chiller manufacturer to design a special rigging cradle to assist in the dual directional movement needed.

Chilled and condenser water piping was removed and replaced connecting to existing service lines .

The project was completed safely and on time.
