Quackenbush Co. provided general construction, HVAC, and cooling retro-fit services for the main downtown library building.
Work was performed as two separate contracts.
The first project involved replacing the two main hot water heating boilers with two steel fire tube packaged dual fuel (oil/gas) boilers and all associated hydronic and oil equipment and piping.
The second project included the removal of the exisiting chiller, condenser water and chilled water pumps and cooling towers, installing two new 250-ton chillers, cooling towers, snow-melt system boilers, and re-piping cooling coils in eleven air-handling units.
All work was performed within a critical five (5) month work schedule with no inconvenience to the library, personnel, or patrons. |
