The Quackenbush Company installed the heating, cooling and humidification systems for the 80,000 sq ft green building. components of the mechanical systems included hot water boilers, factory built-up air handlers, chillers, variable frequency drive components and steam generators.
The facility's state of the art design incorporates innovative temperature and humidity control systems, which maintain a constant environment to protect valuable artwork. In some areas, calibrations are so precise that variations of only two percent humidity and three degrees are permitted.
It is one of the first in New York State certified by the LEED Program (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for meeting silver standards for design, construction and operation of a high performance green building. |
